connections to country

These portraits are part of a series of photographs exploring our local Indigenous history, my own history and our collective futures. The images explore connection to place and the importance of our relationship to our home environment. 

Photographed in the liminal space between sea and land where first contact was made, the portraits are double exposed in camera and not manipulated in post production. They are photographed in harmony with the environment, echoing the sustainable continuing relationship between Indigenous people and their country.
