joie de vivre

This series celebrates humanity, and the joy of life.

These beautiful women are all over 75, they share a connection with the sea and a passion for swimming everyday in the Avalon Beach pool. I loved watching them and witnessing their energy shift. They leave the water invigorated, full of life and appear twenty years younger. Relationship to our environment and our sense of ‘place’ is so integral to our physical and emotional wellbeing.

There is something in the saltwater that makes you feel so good.

Swimming in the sea is invigorating, relaxing and good for the soul.

I hope this collection inspires people of all ages to have the courage to embrace life, accept we are all vulnerable at times and have the strength and tenacity to keep moving forwards.
